The Southeastern Electric Reliability Council (SERC) coordinates the operation and planning of bulk power electric systems. SERC's 1,000+ members submit reports relating to compliance with federal regulations, planned power outages and power generation and transmission through a website portal based on Microsoft Sharepoint and custom .NET applications.

The Salvation Army needed to improve its financial reporting systems so that financial managers across hundreds of organization units could have up-to-date information onn their budgets and spending. Microsoft SQL Server with Reporting Services integrated with Great Plains financial software gave them the system they needed.
